Typically, I trade ETFs, but no different if you chose single company stocks.
You pick your vehicles, long or short, or even options, and move your money around as often as you please, at essentially no cost. You balance assumed risk, appreciation potential, and opportunity cost as often as you choose (multiple times daily if you wish), or as infrequently as you choose.
