This old man thinks that coal will be the fuel for the second half of this century,
after oil is depleted and natural gas has peaked. That is my math and science!
Fischer/Troph and Sasol have technologies for converting it to liquid fuel and
there are vast resources all over North America. Between that and freezing in the dark,
I expect our successors will choose coal, and maybe some nuclear. They will have long
since learned that CO2 in the air is an asset, it makes plants grow better with less
fertilizer. And that solar and wind are poor substitutes. JMHO
