Re: I think the Novelty of Wokeness Is Beginning to Wear Off- The Ukraine
The Ukraine in the late 1920's, once the bread basket of Europe, had inflicted on it a "new/better" way of life. Deutsche Bank says EU's Green Deal is flaunted as a "fair and prosperous society." Anyone see any parallels?
Marxist's called it Collectivization. Just as the Deutsche Bank postulates that "a certain degree of Eco Dictatorship will be required to implement a 'Green Deal" so Stalin required the use of muscle to effectuate his reforms. By the time he was done any one disagreeing was dead or in Siberia. So effective were these reforms that just a few short years latter crop production and animal husbandry were cut in half with much of that being sent to Russia. This huge societal experiment resulted in 7 million Ukrainians dying from famine in the space of 2 years and this in the bread basket of Europe!
I hope these green deals die a death sooner rather than latter, because the seeds are in them to cause as much human suffering as collectivization did to the Ukrainians (again read Deutsche Bank article).
Bottom line is there are some parallels here to our current Green Deal mantras and second, that humanity can go a considerable distance on a stupid tangent before Math and Physics start to register.
