The feeling that the Germans have is very common in many countries, my statement was "the only real interest"....    If you think that the US should be telling the Germans to not build a pipeline between them and Russia fine, my thinking its probably not the business of the US   (Maybe from the point of paying for NATO but otherwise no)

 

I still find myself amazed the great persuader was to make the Nord2 a big deal, Im sure it took Germany by surprise, if the Germans agreed, they could stop it tomorrow.   Trump has also called out China to the point that the average person today does not like the Chinese Govt. I have been very concerned about China for about a decade, but Ive never heard the strong negative talk about China until the last 2+ years(except for dogfood etc), quite amazing IMO..

 

Even today there is resentment against the German's from the French, Dutch etc etc, understandable, while the US has more or less dropped the "feelings" about the Japanese, those feelings are still strong in Korea and China...
