  This is why they NEED Nordstream2, to import LNG is expensive and difficult in the quantities needed, Trump some how was able to delay the pipeline..
 
Some say that Biden will continue to pressure Europe, cant see that, maybe a seat on the board of NS2 will become available?
 
 
 The only real interest that the US has in this pipeline is that US international sales of LNG will be impacted. Pre Trump, Russia and Europe had very close ties, lots of Russian business in Amsterdam and Germany, Cyprus, and I even recall seeing a Russian store selling fur coats on Crete.
