Posting images and uploading documents using our Rich Text Editor

Registered members of InvestorVillage can upload images and documents using the following tools which appear in the Rich Text Editor menu, highlighted in the red box below:



File types supported include:

Image Files: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png

Media Files: .avi, .mpg, .mpeg, .mp3, .wmv, .wav

Document Files: .txt, .doc, .pdf, .zip, .rar, .avi, .mpg, .mpeg, .mp3, .wav, .swf, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .htm, .xls, .html, .rtf, .wmv


Max allowed file sizes:

Image: 10 MB

Flash: 15 MB

Media: 100 MB

Downloadable files (Adobe® icon): 15 MB


Naming conventions:

File names with spaces or special characters are not recognized and will have to be renamed in order to be uploaded. So for example, a file stored on your local machine under the file name "My XYZ Due Diligence" would need to be renamed "MyXYZDueDiligence"

There are also other ways to import images from external sites, including a simple copy & paste.
