Gonna be tough on the Ethanol industry. Maybe they will suspend the the mixing with gasoline requirement for a year or two.

High price of corn has also knocked back the market for calves. The live cattle chart is a sad picture.

We have finally had almost two weeks without any significant rain here in North central Texas. It has been a mad rush to get your hay baled. Luckily I made sure I was first in line with my hay man. The pastures were thick enough that I go almost my yearly needs from the first cutting. Maybe this will be the year we can build back up some reserves. The wheat harvest may be a problem though.

Rains are going to return this afternoon. I'm okay with that. I'll get the hay in the barn next week.
