So right now it looks like Tourmaline has decided it really likes the North Montney. AFAIK this area that lies inside the over pressurized zone where the Montney subsurface is much closer than in the areas to the south. That means lower drilling costs and all the Montney goodness of NG and liquids for less.
I know we have some very knowledgeable posters here who know much more than I do, but from my perch I see only a handful of companies are left in this area. My question is will TOU gobble up the last of the smaller outfits, or will ARX start to consolidate to the north? Or will the remaining small fry keep doing what they do, now that the days of negative to zero product prices are hopefully over, and manage to grow into respectable companies in time for NGL?
