Re: Jim Cramer: As Amazon Soars, Exxon Mobil and Fossil Fuels Fade
Cramer is a trend and fashion follower, nothing more. Has he even bothered to ask whether electric vehicles scale? We just assume that because oil production has been able to grow year after year almost magically to meet demand that every other energy technology can be expanded similarly without limit. But electric vehicles use huge amounts of nickel, copper, lithium, etc. It's not a problem at 2% of the vehicle market but what about 20%, 50% or 100%? Cramer has no clue, nor does he have any idea where the electrons to power these electric cars will come from because solar and wind don't scale either. Sure there's a potentially profitable niche for makers of electric cars, but the combustion engine and fossil fuels are far from dead.
