Re: I Wonder If Parex Has Considered Trying To Buy Geopark?
I do remember Parex's Trinidad adventure. Point taken. Even Parex.
I think it's a prerequisite for CEOs to have doctorates... spin doctorates.
From time to time I do thin of Coffield and wonder what he's thinking about the A and M Limestones, the though being they wouldn't have missed something material surely. Yet I have to say that the A Limestone discovery doesn't look trivial so why didn't Coffield and co test it out?
Similar thoughts to the Vonu well - why go to Peru if you have a Costayaco look alike just waiting to be drilled? On the one hand it suggests that previous management wasn't sold on it, or didn't like the FARC activity and wanted to diversify. Given that it does seem like the Limestone A is worth pursuing I'll say it was a missed opportunity for the previous management team, so maybe Vonu is a missed opportunity as well. But then again, they didn't drill Guriyaco and that looks to have been not worth the effort.
