I never thought about the possibility of offshore E&Ps somehow getting their hands on useful, recently processed seismic data from peers. How do offshore E&P competitors share seismic data?
Through public agencies? For historic data, I believe that is a common way.
Friendly visits to the data room ?
For example. Why would the geo-scientists working for Exxon Mobil share recently processed seismic data with tiny, resource-modest peers like the CGX/Frontera partnership?
