Thanks so much for your many thorough and informative explanations on multiple aspects of our O&G plays. My basic understanding of the industry has been greatly improved by reading your posts on several boards over the years. One area I haven't a clue about is reading well logs. Any idea where I might find basic layman information on reading a well log. I have searched several times and haven't really found anything. Your explanation of the Trioil log was very helpful, and I realize reading these correctly takes years of experience. I'm just looking for guidelines ( i.e. What does this squiggle mean? Do you want it narrow or wide or not at all, Is that spike good or bad, etc) Any help in finding a not too technical manual would be greatly appreciated, as these logs show up in presentations all the time. Is there a layman's manual out there, or a website offering the basics?? Many thanks.
