once again, as a board certified urologist who also holds a masters degree in immunology, I am as excited as I can be to have the opportunity to finally be able to help my terminally ill CAP patients. I hope Dr. Gold can get the FDA to fast track this and that Scher etc aren't allowed to serve on the panel. I am currently treating 210 patients with CAP 10 of those patients are now hormone refractory and have maybe 6 months left. 100 of them have had radical surgery by me in the last 7 years and another 75 have opted for radiation therapy. 25 are doing well on anti-hormone therapy at the present but I do not know when they will become hormone refractory. Hope all of you males over age 40-50 depending on race and those with familial Ca Prostate are having your annual rectal exams and PSA'S on a yearly basis. If we catch it early enough we can cure it and won't have to use any alternative therapies but if we don't I sure hope provenge is available to all of those patients.
