" Although very few IPRs have reached a final decision, expected costs of an IPR from $300,000 to $800,000" (let's assume to battle heavy hitters you've got to bring a pretty big stick yourself and call it $750,000).>>Thank you for that number, .... So, that would tell us that VHC's burn rate is now approx., $322,500/month.
LESS than $1M a month was his words, so LESS than $322,500. :-P
All kidding aside, it is worth at this point re-reading the SA fireside chat transcript.
To be honest, I am more excited now that I see the Gabriel beta, this settlement, etc. Because the specific place where he said to be patient for 2-3 months was vis-a-vis the remand process.I do not care that 3 months are technically up, I see some news coming lickedly-split on this, since he has been proactive on every other front and he called out this process specifically. Another Christmas present coming??
"First of all, I just want to ask for a bit of patience with our going back to the remand process of both these issues with the addressing of the secure communication link for the FaceTime products as well as with the damages remand for the reconfirmation of the $368 million and the ongoing royalty associated with that from February 13 on. So I just need a better patience, we’re going to take the fastest most complete route to a total victory, and with this complex set of litigation, it is not uncommon for the Federal Circuit to ask for portions to be reconfirmed and remanded. And so, I don’t want the shareholders to be concerned about this. I want to let them know that we’re well -- we have the issues well in hand, and we’ll address those as quickly as possible. And I would say in a two to three months period of time from a patience perspective, if we could have that patience, I would really appreciate it."
