Total triple ↑Total has signed up three anchor handlers to shift the Sedco 714. But the move has served to maintain the imbalance in the North Sea as the fixtures were made on the UK side. There are no anchor handlers free in Aberdeen and still up to 10 in Norway. The French oil firm penned the 202-tbp Tor Viking II (built 2000) and 196-tbp Skandi Saigon (built 2011) both at £31,500 per day brokers say. And the larger 297-tbp Siem Opal (built 2011) was signed at £35,500 daily. There was a single platform supply vessels fixture as TEAM picked up the 4,000-dwt North Vanguard (built 1990) for a cargo run plus an option at a reported fee of £13,000 per day. There is a pair of vessels prompt on both sides of the water. By Jason O'Connell in London Published: 16:39 GMT, 06 Mar 12 | updated: 16:39 GMT, 06 Mar 12 |
