For Decades Unschooled Physicist Stanford Ovshinsky Kept His StockRising Without A Hint of Revenues Stanford was not above a pump or two or three for his amorphous semiconducters making himself and his investors very, very wealthy. Stanford was particularly annoyed by being frozen out of publishing in prestigious scientific journals which perhaps is why he scoffed at threadbare fellow scientists who could not afford his silk suits and Italian shoes. He said nothing about his women because he was, you know, an unschooled scientist and therefore likely a terrible bore. You think I lie? Shame on you: Stanford Ovshinsky: The following is hilarious and typical of Forbes: for all his genius, Ovshinsky was a poor businessman, as Forbes detailed in a critical 2003 profile.
His company, Energy Conversion Devices, founded in 1960 with his wife,
Iris, went public in 1964 but lost money almost every year of its
existence. He was forced out in 2007 and ECD was finally liquidated last
year. From !964 to 2007 was a rather lengthy stretch. Stanford and his early investors made tons of money even though his company did not. When Stanford was awarded degrees and professorships he never earned like Albert Einstein, he wasn't so likely a threadbare scientist. In his inimitable style, the greatest scientist of all wrote in his autobiographical Epitaph he regretted cheating to get through school but given the leisure time it afforded him he gladly bore that cross. I can't link to that because a great deal about Einstein is diificult to find. There are things people just don't hanker to know. I wonder how Obama's eminence grise, Larry Summers [https://www.theguardian.com/science/2005/jan/18/educationsgendergap.genderissues] will be handling budding Einstein Sabrina in the future. Maybe he will call call her Saber and claim he was born in Brooklyn. iHubbers will never believe it but huge runs typically start like dry lightning from a clear sky lighting forest fires. And why wouldn't it be so with most people looking at magic charts instead of at the dry kindling? The sheepherderrs know. The sheep never do. Best, Terry |
