Investors Are Betting Big Against Intrexon -- Here's Why They're Right This is very much on topic. My point has noting in particular to do with XON but rather the crazed anti-scientific mythology that has harmed ADXS as well as many other R&D outfits and led to catastrophic losses that needn't have happened. From the Motley Fool: Need more information on genetically engineered mosquitoes that could control disease and reduce the need to spray harmful pesticides? Investors can easily look up presentation slides and white papers favoring their adoption. The same is true for non-browning apples, fast-growing salmon, and bacteria that turn methane from natural gas into next-generation transportation fuels, among a host of other potential products. The evil that dare not speak its name is much the same reason the CEO and CSO of ADXS do not even dare mumble the forbidden truth that ADXS is a vaccine adjuvant company. Before he died Louis Pasteur was reduced to little more than one of those street madmen found in very large cities passing out pamphlets and raving to invisible listeners about his vaccines. Best Dan O'Connor and Robert Petit don't go the same way. Confidentially, I wonder if Dan even knows and understands the incredible implications. Oh, come to think of it - Dan is talking about [gulp] disease vaccines. Good thing iHubbers haven't made the link to cancer noticeably, let alone Street people. Don't tell anybody. Best, Terry |
