That is an old trick cause temperatures leveled off for a few years and then accelerated especially in the last 10 years. ""Look at his bing search of "oldest GHCN stations""" This evidence has been looked at by many scientists and found to be just part of the data and and the overwhelming evidence shows consistent warming. The latest review of warming data was funded by Tea Party oil tycoons the Koch brothers and used several PhDs over a couple of years lead by Richard Muller a physicist from the University of California and a KNOW global warming skeptic. He said that his data supports the notion that global warming is happening. He has since changed his position and support the Global warming argument. "Look at this article on one of the oldest datasets being dumped" This so called climate gate came from a bunch of stolen e-mails and the information was used out of context. That is why recording conversations are illegal cause segments can be presented out of context and misused. That is why it is called a crime and in some cases a felony. These guys were cleared although it was hyped by Fox and other of their ilk and once proven innocent was never mentioned on Fox and other again. Some how you want us to believe that 98% of the climatologist scientists did not consider the obvious and someone will just walk in and discredit 19,000 PEER reviewed papers by qualified scientists? Weather changes but climate changes over hundreds and thousands of years unless some short term forces is applied to kick it out of steady state. That is exactly what is happening with global warming and Co2 emissions. "The glaciers started retreating over 11,000 years ago during this most recent warming period, prior to man messing up the data," Yes they did. And we are seeing that again with a vengeance and it has been accelerating over the last 50 years especially over the last 20 years. The difference now is the increase in CO2 is correlating very closely with the temperature. Right now there is 390 PPM of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The last time there was 1000 PPM in the atmosphere there were no ice caps. What may accelerate it even further is the melting of the permafrost. It is already out gassing methane which is many time more effective as a warming gas than carbon dioxide. If the Russian methane out gasses then the amount of global warming will double. Just LOOK at the what is happening around the world and what are you seeing with 2012 hottest year ever and it is not even over with yet. Droughts across the US and the monsoons failing in India and Record breaking temperatures across the world, Greenland experiencing melting everywhere the first time ever. The oceans are getting acidified from the carbon dioxide and the shells, calcium carbonate, of sea life are thinning. The basis if sea life plankton are also dependent upon their shells. Just think if your sources are wrong we will lose our coastal cities and a billion people world wide. The environment will be severely damaged. This will make Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot look like amateurs.
