Re: What is still missing is an equity offering Seems pretty simple. Short shares are borrowed from long holders and then sold again. Until they are covered, it's like adding 25% to the float. (assuming 25% short interest). In a buyout those trades have to be settled before the transfer occurs right? So the market cap is essentially watered down until those shares are bought back. |
