Found out Saturday exactly whaty ETE did. Regarding the stock split of January of 2014 to get the units correct for the 2014 K-1 instead of showing it aqs a split dated in January of 2014, the went to their records and doubled your holdings going back who knows how many years.
Thus - The 2013 K-1 on record is now different from the one you were mailed last year. So is 2012, 2011, etc. Have no idea of the potential problems this could create but if you owned 500 uints in 2013, your 2013 K-1 now shows that you owned 1000. It appears in discussion with K-1 support that a sale of 500 units would also now show as a partial sale instead of a complete sale. This created things the K-1 support people obviously did not consider.
Am awaiting a return call from Brent Ratliff from ETE on how to get this fixed for everyone. To say that I found my prior year K-1s had been changed was indeed a huge surprise. K-1 support is buried in calls so probably a waste of time to get hold of them right now.
Will adivse later today or tomorrow. Note it appears that the allocation numbers for 2014 are probably correct.
