From Tea Party-type Sen. Ted Cruz to Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, there is total ignorance beyond denial in the U. S. Senate of the obvious benefit of "always on" renewables as pointed out by The Electricity Journal. A unique partial exception, the unloved current minority leader, has wailed that he is the lonesome voice for geothermal power, that is only one of the baseload renewables.
Today's energy literature appears to be proclaiming that “baseload energy is dead,” and sometimes argues that variable energy resources are able to meet all or nearly all of the power needs of future electricity systems.
Yeah, tell me about it.
Best, Terry
