I never rush into things. I don't think there is magic in a presidential inauguration. The strength and weakness of our system of government is that it moves very slowly.
I do not base decisions on what I think a company might do. I have no way of knowing their future decisions.
I look to leave a profitable investment only when I've lost faith in a company's management, as I have in NAT, or when I see a fundamental and long term unfavorable change in the company's sector.
I do think that global pipeline construction signals that such a change is coming to the tanker industry - but that is way too far in the future to be actionable today.
Some times I lose faith too soon. Some times I shouldn't have lost faith at all. Some times I stay too long. Occasionally by chance my timing is right.
