What happens when a lot of these banks and other holders of the toxic debt are forced to mark-to-market at the end of the year?  It would seem that there auditors would require this in order for them to sign off on their year-end financial statements.  We won't know the real damage until the year-end financials come out in March-April.  Could be interesting to say the least.
