No one saw this coming, which is why retail investors should limit idiosyncratic risk. This is a Vanguard index fund ad in the making.
I got in via PDR at $1.27 and rode it to $102, only to get out in the upper $40s to mid-$50s. Just dumb luck, really. I did ride CHK from $14 to $35 and now $1.50, but not nearly for the 3,700 shares of UPL that I once held.
I avoided the stiff dose of reality... bulls made money, bears made money, and UPL hogs got slaughtered.
Lessons cost money, good ones cost lots.
