Q1: There is quite a bit of confusion in my mind over the two chip designation. The HR20 is a two chip design and the HR22, which the new DirecTiVo is ostensibly based on is called a single chip design, but that doesn't square with the language in the agreement you posted. If the second chip is an intel chip, then we are talking about a whole new hardware generation that is "two chip". That didn't come through in the agreement language tough. Where are you getting this angle?
If you are right, DTV and TiVo are going to suprise us with something completely new. Now that could be very interesting and even potentially game changing. I am too pessimistic to believe that right now. Perhaps I need a beer.
Q2: I think this new one is TE, whatever that is supposed to mean.
