I have no argument against Tim's info that Milicomm's 50M cellular customers equate to only 2M cable TV customers....I was mocking his tone that the POSSIBILITY (tim - please note that I do try to be careful not to lead people on) of gaining another 2M customers is somehow BAD for TIVO.
This is potentially MORE customers than exisiting TIVO customer Suddenlink (9th largested TV provider in the U.S.).
I tend to agree with you that there is no way that TiVo is going to get 100% (or even 50%) of these customers....but even 200,000 customers is still something I congratulate management for striking a deal for.
I think most long TIVO investors (not that there are many here on IV) would agree that is a good thing. It is only those who are hoping for TiVO to fail entirely who would mock this win.
