It is the one thing George W Bush did right in his entire presidency.  If they had let the banks fail, the Federal government would have been on the hook for trillions in deposits.  We would have seen stock markets lose 90% of their value, and we would be at 20% unemployment.  I am glad to see at least some people out there are somewhat rational.
