Re: interesting article about the FOOD STAMP PROGRAMS growth... jimmy, your credible source MEDIA MATTERS is an arm of the White House.. did you know that? IRS asked to investigate...LMAO... you have an issue with FOX NEWS and you instead reference MEDIA MATTERS as a 'credible' source? again, this is hilarious... just like any good little lefty group, when you can't beat em in a fair fight, then try to destroy them in order to silence them... not surprised you don't see Media Matters for who they really are, not surprised you hate FOX News... for they challenge your views and expose them for what they are... and like many a good little lefty, you then have to work to destroy them rather than defend you screwed up perception of reality... LOL... but its truly sad in a way as well... for you are an example of why this country is so screwed up. You enable the likes of David Brocks and Soros, and company thru your support... The head of Media Matters for America -- now out coordinating a new super PAC to help President Obama get reelected -- is operating his nonprofit organization in close coordination with the Obama White House, a new investigative report out Monday says. David Brock, according to the Daily Caller, has collected a $250,000 annual salary for his work at MMFA, which includes daily screeds against Fox News Channel and other media outlets that allow conservative perspectives in their reporting. Brock's group, founded in 2004, is spending $20 million this year in a campaign to influence news coverage that sheds a positive image on the current administration as well as progressives and lawmakers in Congress. And the campaign is going well, according to a former employee who told the DC that "virtually all the mainstream media" has used Media Matters' research. "We were pretty much writing their prime time," the ex-employee was quoted saying of MSNBC.
On Fox News this morning, Juan Williams had some strong words for Media Matters for America, a Soros-funded anti-conservative group. In recent days, Fox has claimed that Media Matters is using taxpayer dollars to attack the news network. For years, the group has made Glenn Beck a primary target as well. Williams weighed in on the group’s attacks on Fox, saying:
So, Williams contends that Media Matters is more concerned with attacking conservatives than with exposing general untruths in media. The group’s behavior has some wondering if the IRS should revoke its tax-exempt status. Politico reports that Brock’s plan of “guerilla warfare and sabotage” against Fox is almost assuming the strategy of grassroots political activism:
Brock plans to hire an opposition research team in its campaign against Fox News, showing that Media Matters is shifting its focus from media criticism to political activism, as Politico’s Ben Smith notes.
