We agree on what Sam is doing -- "grasping at straws". But when he mentions something that *may* be a legitimate question, he deserves an answer. We can't expect everyone who reads his post to be familiar with his formulaic writing over the months here and on Yahoo, where every lie and every innuendo is framed as a question.
Of course, this is just a crude extension of the sleight of hand employed by Rocker/Camelback when they tried to frame their own accusations as "stating an opinion, not a fact". And we know that the Judge in Marin County saw right through that, as any jury will.
Where he does *not* deserve an answer is when he goes from counting certain words used on Yahoo by Gary Weiss sockpuppets to making accusations of ethnic bias by anyone and everyone associated with Overstock. Besides, we can't all be expected have a rabbi friend, as Patrick did, who will be outraged enough to publicly denounce those accusations.
I am curious to see if Herb Greenberg will pick up on this latest post. He seems to have kept Sam at an arm's length ever since Sam went bezerk on Yahoo back in June. What he may do is refer to Gary's blog post, quoting Sam by proxy. Herb seems to consider quoting Gary quoting Sam to have a sanitizing effect. Whatever rocks your boat, Herb.
