On behalf of
the Scientific Committee and the MDS Foundation, I hope you will join us at the 13th
International Symposium on Myelodysplastic Syndromes taking place in
Washington, DC from April 29 – May 2, 2015.
The first return of this important meeting to the Western Hemisphere
since 1993, we have initiated several changes which should make this an even
more exciting venue to present and discuss the latest developments in MDS. Two simultaneous tracks will be
available. The first, MDS Clinical
State-of-the-Art will walk attendees through all clinically relevant aspects of
MDS diagnosis, prognosis, and management.
As usual, these talks will be given by international leaders, and will
include panel discussions, point/counterpoint, and discussions of cases
submitted by attendees. The second track, Next Gen MDS, will focus on the
newest in MDS translational science.
Each topic will have a plenary lecture delivered by an international
thought leader, followed by research talks selected from the abstracts. We will of course continue to have poster
sessions, Morphology workshops, and Nursing-focused seminars. In order for this program to succeed, we need
the submission of abstracts based on your best work! Selection of abstracts will be competitive
and will be performed by the Scientific Committee. We hope that this format will solidify this Symposium’s
role as the premier venue for MDS basic, translational and clinical research.
The Washington
Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, DC is an outstanding venue and is
conveniently located on the Metro Red Line.
It is an easy walk to Dupont Circle and the White House. As usual there will be a wonderful dinner at a historic venue.
We look forward to seeing you in Washington!
