Who knows if the author is telling the truth regarding his "no position". He may be short-- or being paid by a hedge fund - or simply has a legitimate opinion. Whatever the case, his conclusion is based on some "market theory" relative to other investment opportunities.
Simply put, Celgene is easier to hold, the longer you hold it. It helps to get past the first year to eighteen months to a few years. For those that have held that long, it has rewarded them richly - and promises to continue to do so for the long term foreseeable future.
But even amongst those of us who have benefitted, the angst in the posts during the inevitable pull backs is obvious. Celgene is a great company, led by a terrific management team that still takes a tough stomach to hold on occasions. Like many here ... been there, done that. For some of the new arrivals, it is a hard lesson to learn.
