There are many herbs and supplements that are very effective for many illnesses. The FDA doesn't allow their manufactures to say anything about their benefits. The FDA applies severe penalties for promoting their benefits. This is another example of how the FDA muzzles freedom of speech.
However, OTC fish oil can make the claim about "may help reduce CV risk", a qualified health claim - but AMRN and it's FDA controlled Rx EPA cannot say the same thing. Heck, go to the OmegaVia website and you'll see a host of medical claims, all of which have been proven in various AMRN trials!
