How did Democrats vote on the Iraq war resolution?

It is also true that most Democrats voted for Iraq.

No, that is NOT true. Dago and most other right wingers keep making this false claim, but it is completely false. Here are the numbers:

United States House of Representatives

Party Yes Nays PRES No Vote
Republican 215 6 0 2
Democratic 82 126 0 1
Independent 0 1 0 0
TOTALS 297 133 0 3

United States Senate

Party Ayes Nays No Vote
Republican 48 1 0
Democratic 29 21 0
Independent 0 1 0
TOTALS 77 23 0

Among Democrats, that's 111 yes votes, and 147 no votes, on the Iraq war resolution authorizing military action against Iraq.

So there were 111 Democrats naive enough to think that Bush was telling the truth, or they were just too lazy to spend a little time thinking about Bush's claims.

Even at the time of this vote, I KNEW that Bush and everyone in his administration was lying about Iraq, and not a damn thing in the 11 years since has happened to change my mind.
