Re: Cpf1 From what all of the inventors to date have publicly stated CRISPRs are at least 5 years from clinical trials. I would think that applies to Cpf1 more so. In the past, which I admit may not be representative of the future. But time from discovery to Clinic is more than 10 years. How long has SGMO been using Cas9? Not CRISPRs specifically but Cas9. Specificity.....Advantage SGMO and ZFN/TALE. When it comes to Rare and Orphan diseases,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,SGMO has a multi year lead. Pick your target(st) and sign the license. Think of the some 6 to 8,OOO monogenic diseases. 750 which have some type of treatment in development stage, but no "cure". CDC says there are only 450 that have effective treatments, that extend the lives of patients. Still not "cures", only better treatments. "B" If Edward would only let us into the circle of knowledge TICK TOCK |
