Re: SCO Invents New Tort Law "... I thought the Novell trial established that SCO/Caldera did not own the operating system ..." That is true for the System V code base (plus the early versions of UnixWare, not that it matters). However, current versions of UnixWare and OpenServer both have SCO-only code added in, which give SCO overall ownership rights of those, just as IBM has overall ownership rights of AIX. It's covered in Section 103 of Title 17 (Copyright Act). |
