They had better hope the relief well kills the damaged well.  If the oil still continues to leak out of the seabed, it could make matters worse.  The question is, can they safety drill additional production wells to slowly bleed off the field or are the pressures, reportedly from 20-70,000 psi, beyond the equipments' limits. They did drill into the find, before the well problems started. 

 

They are talking about evacuations along the West Coast of Florida and adjacent states because of the fumes coming up from such things as benzene and H2S gas. Things are worse than what you see on the news.
