I have to admit it has been quite difficult to predict what is "coming next" here, but for so long I thought 100% sure that a buyout was coming (from the many obvious clues that Kirk gave), and of course it still could, but well aware that those expectations can be let down....but even if not, this company is so loaded with potential to skyrocket, and not just in one cancer treating potential arena.
A few other clues to support that type "speculation" was the "strategic alternatives" (or similar words) that Intrexon gave in the 1st QTR, and of course "Precigen" - I also did a search of late of how a company would want to file a Quarterly 8-K early if they were about to receive a takeover offer, cause to file it after, would not be so wise, because if something "new" popped up, the acquirer could use that against the acquiree or whatever.
But, of course they did similar last QTR by a few days, so you can't say for sure what is coming "next" - of course it could be that 2 year timeline to come this June - was that one attorney a year ago that said the previously unknown term, "old & cold" and his thoughts was that they needed to wait 2 years for such a takeover, so that the previous action taken by Kirk and company (giveaway of ZIOP shares to XON holders) would be old & cold. Maybe not a big deal, but who knows.
Now, after all of that, even if no takeover/merger, no big deal - not a one trick pony here and as Cooper once said, "many shots on goal" & so glad that Dr. Cooper's patience has not wavered like so many posters on here....lol.
Surely a GBM deal (maybe even TCR too) soon, with more un-partnered valuable assets than JUNO or KITE .....& they don't likely own 80% of anything in their pipeline & not one Phase 3 Tx candidate, especially in GBM.
Also, odd, is that ZIOP announced their QTR earnings call PR last week, & not a peep out of XON on when theirs is - first time I have seen that - not in a rush, or focused hard on ZIOP right now? Time will tell & we find out quite soon.
