Promises, promises, promises.... then there is the drumpf's all out press#1 TRUMP REITERATES PLAN TO REPEAL AND REPLACE: "As soon as we take office, it's America first again. That begins with immediately repealing and replacing 'Obamacare' … We're gonna repeal it, we're gonna replace it, and we're gonna get you great, great health care at a fraction of the cost," Trump #2 THE WALL IS INTRODUCED: The promise to build the wall dates back to the day that Trump announced his presidential run. "I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I'll build them very inexpensively, I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall." #3 “I KNOW MORE ABOUT ISIS THAN THE GENERALS DO, BELIEVE ME", he then went on to say "the generals are currently embarrassing for our country." Has since called on his advisors when Trump said his top generals "will have 30 days to submit to the Oval Office a plan for soundly and quickly defeating ISIS." "I have a plan, but I don't want to ... If I win, I don't want to broadcast to the enemy exactly what my plan is," he said, adding that if he likes the plans submitted by his generals, it may lead to "a combination of my plan and the generals' plan." 30 days later?????????????????????????????? #4 SCRAP THE IRAN DEAL Let's play Donald Trump Promises a Better Iran Deal: Trump frequently assailed the Obama administration as being filled with bad negotiators and cited his own prowess in making deals, including his vow to renegotiate the Iran nuclear deal, which Obama and then–Secretary of State John Kerry negotiated in 2015. July 16, 2015: NOT A FAN Trump tweeted that the Iran deal "poses a direct national security threat. It must be stopped in Congress. Stand up Republicans!" Since that time, Trump has routinely acted on impulse, he has attacked the JCPOA, during and after the campaign, as (among other things) “stupid,” a “lopsided disgrace” and, in a classic Trumpism, the “worst deal ever negotiated.” “My number-one priority,” he proclaimed in March while addressing the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which did its best to sink the agreement, “is to dismantle the disastrous deal with Iran.” He called it “catastrophic for America, for Israel and for the whole of the Middle East.” Since that NOISE: TOP TRUMP CABINET PICKS DROP CAMPAIGN TO SCRAP IRAN DEAL JANUARY 12, 2017 WASHINGTON -- President-elect Donald Trump's emerging national security team is settling on a consensus in favor of policing the Iran nuclear agreement brokered in 2015, as opposed to immediately scrapping it. Trump's choices for secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, secretary of defense, James Mattis, and Central Intelligence Agency director, Mike Pompeo, all testified this week of their plans to advise the incoming president to preserve the international accord. Their statements contrast with campaign rhetoric from both the president-elect and his vice president-elect, Mike Pence, who during their run for the White House both vowed to "rip up" the deal negotiated alongside Russia, China, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. #5 KEY INDUSTRIES FOR THE REPUBLICAN BASE "The miners are going back to work in Wyoming and in West Virginia and in Ohio."..... Crickets ---------------------------- While delaying on his promises, drumpf stays busy attacking the FREE PRESS John McCain: Attacking The Free Press Is ‘How Dictators Get Started’... “We need to learn the lessons of history.” Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) gave a staunch defense of the free press Saturday, noting that attacks on the media are “how dictators get started.” Speaking on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” to be aired Sunday, McCain took a swipe at President Donald Trump’s volleys against the Fourth Estate, particularly a Friday tweet in which the press was called the “enemy of the American people.” “We need a free press,” said the 2008 Republican presidential candidate. “We must have it. It’s vital.” “If you want to preserve ― I’m very serious now ― if you want to preserve democracy as we know it, you have to have a free and many times adversarial press,” he added. McCain said that without a free press, “we would lose so much of our individual liberties over time.” “That’s how dictators get started,” he added, noting that attacks on journalists questioning those in power are a tactic used by autocratic governments. “When you look at history, the first thing that dictators do is shut down the press.” ------------------------------------- Speaking of PRESS: Donald Trump MAKES UP Sweden Terror Attack THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN By Daniel Marans 2/18/17 President Donald Trump falsely suggested at a Florida rally Saturday that Sweden had suffered a terror attack the previous night. After announcing that the White House planned to renew its efforts to restrict immigration, Trump cited several European countries and cities that he said showed the dangers of admitting immigrants, particularly refugees. “You look at what’s happening in Germany, you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden,” Trump told a large crowd of supporters in a hangar at the Orlando-Melbourne International Airport. “Sweden. Who would believe this? Sweden,” he added. “They took in large numbers. They’re having problems like they never thought possible.” Trump’s subsequent remarks made clear he was referring to European locales that had endured terrorist attacks in the past two years. “You look at what’s happening in Brussels. You look at what’s happening all over the world,” he said. “Take a look at Nice. Take a look at Paris.” Observers pointed out that no such attack took place on Friday night. Trump's White House has now made up three terrorist attacks to sell their #MuslimBan 1. Bowling Green 2. Atlanta 3. Sweden |
