Re: long put synthetic straddle positionI meant a move in either direction. As long as the movement is above the cost of the puts ... you make money. If the movement to the downside make the puts profitable against the loss in the common ... you make profit. The 2x put to common ratio makes that possible. Sorry bout my earlier wording.
