Re: MicroVision news in Chinese - IR response/celgup
celgup, I agree with you that I'm making a leap, and it may turn out that you're right. I guess the broader issue is that we all know how crucial the Foxconn-Apple relationship has been and it seems that this has influenced the entire electronics consumer industry to establish nearly identical consumer brand - assembler relationships. It just seems nonsensical to me that MVIS would go to the trouble of finding the optical-version of Foxconn (AO,) and have AO build prior generations of products and then.....stop using them. But, then, MVIS has just said they aren't using them and if MVIS was going to play word-tense games, the IR department just would have written Tetrimbath nothing...instead MVIS went out on a limb and explicitly wanted to get it out in the public domain that they aren't doing business with AO.
But back to your point -- we don't know. Personally, I'm convinced that Pioneer and AO have an exceedingly close and intertwined relationship, and that MVIS is right there in that mx (and it's part of my investing thesis, because I believe this)...but MVIS Investor Relations is saying this is wrong and I'm not being sarcastic in saying that everything I've seen MVIS write to investors in emails has been forthright and usefully clarifying.
