Old People and Social Media
My point about that comment is that older folks tend to place way more importance on what is said/passed around on social media. Younger folks who have grown up with it understand better how to sift through the nonsense and also know you shouldn't use people's opinions on social media as investment advice because the sampling, as iyonwin stated, is usually biased or can be manipulated to the positive or negative to support a narrative when the reality is much different.
And of course, not every old person is like this. Some are very aware of this new access to information and the pitfalls that it provides. But in general, more older people get conned with this social media junk.
97% of what you need to know about this company is in the sales numbers and buried in 10Ks and 10Qs. Those two things aren't good.
