Re: Psychiatric Professors ...... involves a "loss of contact with reality".The following three part discussion may, in part, explain why psychologists say what they say........they need to justify their employment by asking ridiculous questions and making even more ridiculous suggestions. Although no comparative graphs have been found during this quick search, one must realize that there has been a general upward trend for practitioners of the ART of psychology during the past 100 years. (Psychology is an ART, not a science) It may also be noted that there has been a greater growth in identifying psychological issues, as defined by psychologists. A technical comparative analysis that could not be made, due to the absence of graphs, as to when the number of individuals identified as having psychological issues exceeded the number of psychologists defining these issues. In essence, one may ask: Has having a psychological disorder a prerequisite to becoming a psychologist? As defined next, ' Psychosis is an abnormal condition of the mind that involves a "loss of contact with reality". Does this not define psychologists? Part 1: Psychosishttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychosis Psychosis is an abnormal condition of the mind that involves a "loss of contact with reality". Depending on its severity, this may be accompanied by unusual or bizarre behavior, as well as difficulty with social interaction and impairment in carrying out daily life activities. Part 2: Employment Probability of Psychologists And the employment growth potential for these increasing number of psychologists is very small, as evidenced by the following information.
