Canadian Constitution ( charter ), has some parts treated like toilet tissue, depending on their agenda.
Trudeau bothers me not, as if he makes weed legal and available Canada wide deprving the cartel of a lot of cash, thus holding street gun prices down for jon & jane to get some new guns, outside the system(sarcastic).
The upshot of making weed legal would be to enable police and justice assets to be used more wisely , IMO, a hope of course.
Bad gun laws in Canada trace directly to their relationship to Britain. Scared the population would catch on in the 1930's to their serf-like treatment up to and before the "Troubles" of the Depression, I think the elite lawmakers figured the population would set out to double their income by killing the landlord (lord of the manor) on those township sized estates owned the super rich. Now I know the Brits to be a fair people so I doubt they would have done that without giving the landlords a good running head start.
I have to laugh when someone tries to frame a comment using the "Down South" example. That is the reason for the post.
