There seems to be no shortage of interesting targets for ISIS to address with its ASO technology. An effective and safe anti-obesity drug could put ISIS on the map as a golden goose which lays golden eggs. Already ISIS has one such first in class drug, ISIS-FGFR4, being tested in humans and others might be down the line. Take a look at the first ISIS oral presentation at the ADA conference. Very early, but pretty exciting stuff.

Also interesting are some of the other presentations including a potential drug targeting the most common world wide liver disease. I'll let you read for yourself what that disease is, but its not hepatitis or cancer.

There are many potential Golden Eggs in ISIS' portfolio. For me such drugs would be a novel, effective, safe drug to treat broad patient populations.
