A new pipeline between TAG Oil’s Cheal E field and its Cheal A production station will allow the firm to maximise production from the field.
Country manager Max Murray says the $4 million pipeline will streamline the production process and utilise gas produced from Cheal E.
The two-kilometre pipeline will take all well-stream fluids through to the Cheal A production station for full processing. Currently oil produced at the site is collected in stock tanks and trucked to production facilities. Because it cannot be piped, all gas from the field is incinerated, Murray says.
