David Pescod's Late Edition - Hathor HATHOR EXPLORATION (V-HAT) $3.26 +0.36 While all eyes are on Egypt and what is developing there for whatever it may be, maybe finally we will see more democracy and less corruption in a huge area of the world—or at least that’s what many people are hoping for. Because of ongoing Chinese and Indian growth and that ongoing theme, some commodities such as copper, tin and the like, are doing better than ever, despite the concerns affecting the middle East. Another commodity that’s been soaring of late has been uranium which had looked as dead as a doorknob for so long. But as we said, lately it has been soaring. Once again, the theme...Chinese demand. One of the uranium stories we’ve been following closely and hasn’t quite rewarded us as we might have hoped has a very extensive program starting shortly on three of their different properties. Meanwhile today, Fission Energy (FIS) announces some more good drilling results. Time to get caught up on Hathor Exploration so we go to Tony Nunziata, the long-time voice of Hathor for comments on Hathor. Nunziata writes, “the uranium industry is building momentum as the U3O8 spot price has climbed to $73.00 a pound due to a tight supply demand balance through a combination of supply disruption and strong fuel requirements for nuclear reactors. Hathor Exploration is the most active junior in the Athabasca Basin, which is the premier mining district in the world for high grade uranium. Drilling is underway on 3 exciting programs including 3 rigs at our Roughrider project centered around the east zone which has generated a number of world class intersections including 64 metres of just under 8 % U3O8 and 28 metres grading 13% U3O8. The east zone remains open as step-out drilling is focused to the substantially altered east trend as well as the restivity anomaly to the southwest. Hathor is working towards an updated resource estimate for the east zone in conjunction with further infill drilling. We are also drilling the highly prospective Russell property with a number of key target areas. Rusell is surrounded by major infrastructure and deposits including Cameco’s McArthur River and Denison’s Wheeler River Phoenix deposit. The other drill program comprises 18 holes with Forum, at Henday, just northeast of Roughrider with a number of enticing east west trends. Through recent management changes, Hathor has assembled a top notch team of uranium professionals including Dr. Michael Gunning, President and CEO, who will guide Hathor as a uranium exploration and development company to the next level. With an active uranium market the next few months should be interesting for Hathor with a stream of news that will encompass results, an updated 43-101 and conditional approval for listing on the big board, the TSX.”
