From the PubThe frigid weather has me clicking on to the DXE HOME PAGE from time to time where they still display the warming sands of Syria. Kudos to Cantibe for his constantly high quality of submissions. I haven't spoken to anyone but I'm starting to come to terms with the possibility that DXE could be "one and done" in Tunisia.....and off to find less expensive/higher chances of success projects to explore. Although, how can you get higher than 100% COS. Philly has turned into a great restaurant city. ( making up for being a recently disastrous sports city.) had a drink the other night before dinner called "Fire when ready, Gridley". A good Rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, Calvados and apple bitters. Exceptional. Fortunately, mrs Spuds talked me out of ordering a second..or I probably would have taken a nose dive in to my oysters. They taste way too good to be that potent. As oil prices tumble and gasoline prices follow (paid $1.99 gal in New Jersey last week) we will probably see an increase in large vehicle sales as fools never seem to learn. And the politicians who are made rich by the Auto and Oil companies will resume preaching the total lack of need for alternative forms of energy. One of our country's true disgraces. Speaking of politicians, before we know it, another national election will be upon us. This means one of the most entertaining television series will be occurring. The GOP primary debates. It's MUST WATCH TV!! If we are fortunate, we could have the likes of PERRY,HUCKLEBY, PALIN, TRUMP, SANTORUM, PAUL, CARSON, AND few other wackos all trying to convince Republican voters that they are direct descendants of Attilla the Hun and their fellow candidates are not. Don't miss it. Today's special: Shepards Pie |
