What was all that 'monitoring the internet' bit about?
As regards this business about Enegi having a partner lined up and ready to go as soon as they can prove that they can get the oil up.
That's not quite accurate. It's common knowledge that Enegi has a farm in agreement with Dragon Lance over the deeper rights in 1070, and that Dragon Lance has a financial backer for this agreement, though the identity of the backer is not known. However it's not about 'getting the oil up', it's about the SDL. I think its understood that the backers are not prepared to start spending out on seismic and drilling until the SDL has been issued. As SHP's SDL for the Green Point Shales will cover a much larger area than Enegi's deeper rights formation, it makes sense for Enegi to rely on SHP to gain the licence. In fact, even if Enegi had taken on that role when the licence swap took place, they couldn't have done it in time to save the licence anyway.
As for Garden Hill, Enegi is at present going that alone without any farm in partners. It has been mentioned that they might well look for partners to get Garden Hill developed more quickly once they have learned as much as they can from the present well and get it up an running.
Enegi's last news release might look good, and I believe it is good, but it hasn't impressed the markets - the share has been tumbling ever since. This is probably as much to do with the Eurozone crisis as anything.
