The right wing  anti-environment reactionaries have bloated strength because there are more people born into wealthy, country club families. These Elite look around, hate nature and love the pollution borne of fauxnancial growths. Many see it as Earth eating away at their position and privilege. But had they been born poor in a slum in Mexico, they would want justice. Their wealth gives them the illusion of manifest destiny.
