Thanks for this Raisin,
I was aware of the Oxford Catalysts and of course the large scale plants of Sasol and Shell, but the compactgtl one was new to me. I also liked their video: http://compactgtl.com/video-introduction-to-compactgtl
I couldn't find any reference to share prices, so assume compactgtl is a private company. The interesting thing will be the relative costs and efficiencies of corrugated heat exchangers (CompactGTL) and tubular ones (OxCatalysts). I assume that corrugated exchangers are potentially cheaper, but maybe they might be more susceptical to crevice corrosion and stress fatigue, but many automobile coolers use such technology. Also, their are loads of potential competetive suppliers for tubes, and it seems ComGTL have signed an exclusive deal with one corrugated exchanger supplier, so this might dictate the eventual relative costs.
